Registration includes Saturday’s reception, afternoon presentation, lunch, an eco-friendly (non-disposable) water bottle, a complimentary copy of Rattle, and participation in two workshops of your choice—be sure to select the workshops that you want to attend. Depending on space, we may have to alter the order you attend them, but everyone will be able to participate in any two workshops—until they reach max capacity. Last year, two of five workshop sold out, so be sure to sign up soon! (Note: “Mining the Mind” and “Nature as Metaphor” are now FULL.)
Participants staying Sunday may also receive a 10-minute one-on-one editorial session with Timothy Green (sign up at the camp Saturday).
Wrightwood is a ski resort town in the winter, so there are plenty of lodging options, including private cabins, bed & breakfasts, and traditional motels. Wrightwood Lodging (call Kris McCurdy: 760-249-1001) is offering a discount for participants the weekend of the festival. When you contact them, just say that you’re making a reservation for the Wrightwood Literary Festival.
For more on Camp Mariastella, including directions, go here.
All participants will receive an information packet by email approximately one week before the event, with directions, parking instructions, other relevant information, and a safety waiver, which we’ll need signed at the start of the event—the camp is safe, but it is a forest … we’re not responsible if anyone tries to wrestle a coyote or pet a rattlesnake!
Lunch is provided by Wrightwood’s favorite Cinnamon’s Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe, including chips or cookie and all-you-can-drink water or iced tea.
